Alpha Teens is a 6 week long strength and conditioning program for those of ages 13 to 19 who want to improve their physical strength and mental toughness! This fitness program that starts with the basics and advances each class.

Join us every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 1 pm for ages 13-15, and 2 pm for ages 16-19, starting June 25th!
My name is Kayla Benson. I am Level One CrossFit Trainer. I started CrossFit when I was 12 years old to help rebuild my physical and mental strength after an emergency knee surgery.
Before my surgery, I was a starter on my premier A soccer team, yet after surgery, I was dropped to the B team. After working out at CFA, my entire life changed; I was happier, stronger, more fit, mentally tougher and optimistic, and had a new family at CrossFit Advantage who supported and encouraged me nonstop.
After one year at CFA, I recovered from surgery and regained my position on my soccer team as one of the fittest on the team. Since then, I’ve been hooked on CrossFit and earned my Level One Cert in August 2017. I’ve been coaching for a year now at CrossFit Advantage and also piloted a program for teens called Wolfpack Power last summer.
Additionally, I’ve started a CrossFit class at the University of Portland as a freshman as well as a women’s weightlifting club called Buff on the Bluff. CrossFit plays an important part in my life by keeping me fit and providing me with a great community that I consider my family. I am excited to coach the Alpha Women and Alpha Teen programs this summer.
